Welcome to Turkish Life Cafe…..

Welcome to Turkish Life Cafe. It took me some time to come to the decision to combine all my blogs to make one website.

My Original blog Earth Laughs in Flowers was all about my life here in Turkey and my life as a housewife living in Turkey. My writing changed as the years have gone on and I decided I would start a blog about Turkish Cooking called TurkishCooking.biz.

Later I added a small blog on Learning Turkish. After these two additions life got in the way and my writing slowed down till I stopped.

Combining my 3 blogs together has given me new energy to write and share with you about life in Turkey and I feel Turkish Life Cafe will also allow me to expand my writing and grow a better community.

I hope all of you that have supported me over the last 5 years will continue to do so with Turkish Life Cafe.

Thank you for all your support and I look forward to writing more in the coming months.

Isabel, no and a big no, in no uncertain terms do you put that or any amount in his bank account. That is complete BS. I would think very careful about this person. If he wants to come to visit you make him pay for all himself and then you will know if he there for you.

Thanks Kerry I’m not sure about all the visa and passport requirements . I feel he is so genuine but the money request is making me think other wise . He says he wants us to be together and that the money will ensure visa is granted to allow him to come to Scotland

      Hi Laura

If your BF has no money you can sponsor him to come to the UK. That would mean YOU earning £18,600 per year and have at least 6mths wage slips or you can have savings combined with your income. Your BF does NOT need any of your money in his bank account. Otherwise he has to show proof that he can finance his visit, with either savings or wages and the biggest thing he needs to prove is that he will return to Turkey. This is by having a full time job that requires his return, property that is in his name or some other substantial reason to return.

When I first met my husband he wasn’t yet teaching. He had just qualified and was doing his first year. I told him and left him in no doubt that he would not get any money from me, he could not ask for gifts and if he wanted to visit me in the UK it was up to him to get his visa not me.

I do not usually jump to conclusions but the fact your BF has asked for nearly 70,000 lira to be deposited to his bank account is crazy. If a guy in the Scotland asked you to do the same, what would be your answer? There is no harm helping him regards the paper work etc, but all financing should come from him. And please do not give him any money. Make him work for you if he really wants you. He may be naive and have the wrong info but something feels wrong with this. Please go very careful with this man. x
