Chilli Tomato Meze. Nice with bread and as a dip. I like to serve it with doritos or nachos.
Ingredients:
- Tomato finely chopped – 1 Large
- Tomato Puree – 1 to 3 large tablespoons
- Onion finely chopped – 1
- Chill Peppers (hot) – 1to 2 depends how hot you like it
- Garlic Crushed – 1 to 3 cloves
- Lemon Juice – 1 desert spoon
- Fresh Parsley – Bunch chopped
- Salt and Pepper – to taste
- Olive Oil – 1 Tablespoon
Instructions:
This recipe is one you need to make and adjust to your own taste and adjust the amount of chilli you want depending on how hot you like it.
Mix the Olive Oil and Tomato Paste together until nice and smooth. Then add in the Tomato, Onion, Garlic and Chillies and mix together. Add in your lemon juice and parsley, then season to taste.
Use a little of the parsley to sprinkle on top and serve at room temp.

kerryarslanI think I know which one you are talking about and the Lovely Ozlem over at Ozlems Turkish table has a recipe I think matches your description, this is the link direct to her website its called Patlicanli Eksileme http://ozlemsturkishtable.com/2010/06/smoked-eggplant-salad-withvegetables-and-olive-oil-patlicanli-eksileme/
I made this salad myself from her recipe and it was delicious. If its not this one let me know and I will see if I can find out. Please share a picture of the salad if you make on my facebook https://www.facebook.com/TurkishCooking I love to see what people are making.
Kerry 🙂

kerryarslanOk I will see what I can come up with, was it like a salad or more like this tomato dishes like a paste. There is one my mother in law makes, which is the inside of roasted aubergine mixed with egg and garlic but no tomato, its very nice as well I must post the recipe.
Had a quick look online would it be something like this one? http://www.nyemektarifleri.com/kozlenmis-patlican-salatasi.html

Kerry ArslanHi Magda, no you don’t need to cook the meze. The cooking time should really be preparation time. I will update the article.
